The ELA Standard that I feel most prepared to teach is "write to explain/inform" because it is all about helping others to break things down and dig deeper to understand. The one that I feel most unprepared to teach would definitely have to be the "use digital media". I am definitely not one who knows too much about using and applying digital media. Displaying things in that way has never been one of my strongest points, but I feel I could improve and gain more confidence as the semester continues. In Chapter 9, it talked about teaching and learning about the evolution of the Internet, how to use web tools and resources, and how to have good digital citizenship. I would like to teach at the lower levels, like 4 year olds or Kindergarten. Obviously kids this age aren't going to be using as much technology as kids who are older than them. Technology has become such a large part of today's society. One of the places it is most used in and also has become more present in is the classroom. What influences teachers to use technology is that it has become such a norm for students. Students use technology so much out of the classroom so teachers feel that using technology in class will be more engaging for the students. In the ISTE standard for students, it says "Students demonstrate creative thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using technology". I agree with this because students have knowledge outside of technology that can be used to create something innovative. Using technology in school has on...

I have used Microsoft Word for as long as I can remember. In elementary school, I was taught the basics of how to use it and how to format papers. Also, I was taught how to type without looking down at our fingers and where they were typing. Ever since my teachers started using technology in the classroom, they have always used Microsoft Word and other Microsoft applications. To this day, Microsoft is what I have used to write papers and to create slide show presentations for class assignments. It’s a pretty easy and simple tool to use and is incredibly important in one’s educational career. To be honest, I did not know too much about copyright before these readings and reading others blog posts to see their experiences with it. After reading about it, I learned copyright is about protection of one’s work. In the copyright podcast, she talked about how it’s important for educators to know about copyright because they often use other creators works like textbooks for example. Teachers...
